Stryper have revealed details for their new album. God Damn Evil will be released on April 20th. The band's follow-up to 2015's Fallen album was recorded at SpiritHouse Recording Studios in Northampton, Massachusetts. Artwork and tracklisting below. Frontman Michael Sweet recently stated: "The new Stryper album is our best to date. If this was 1987 (when rock and metal ruled the charts) we might have a Grammy waiting with our name on it. But since this is 2018, we're just happy knowing that our fans will love it. We are blessed. Can't wait to get this one into your ears!" God Damn Evil tracklislting:

"Firepower", the title track of the new album from British heavy metal legends JUDAS PRIEST, can be streamed below. Due on March 9 via Epic, the follow-up to 2014's "Redeemer Of Souls" was recorded by British producer Andy Sneap, the band's longtime collaborator Tom Allom and engineer Mike Exeter (BLACK SABBATH). The cover artwork for "Firepower" was created by the Chilean/Italian digital artist and photographer Claudio Bergamin.
"Firepower" track listing: 01. Firepower 02. Lightning Strike 03. Evil Never Dies 04. Never The Heroes 05. Necromancer 06. Children of the Sun 07. Guardians 08. Rising From Ruins 09. Flame Thrower 10. Spectre 11. Traitors Gate 12. No Surrender 13. Lone Wolf 14. Sea Of Red JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford told U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine about the lyrical themes covered on "Firepower": "We're an open book. We can go anywhere, and that's my job, where the proverbial word 'challenge' comes into play. I'm looking for things around me in the real world and in the metal fantasy world, so I'm making political comment and comments on the environment, as metaphorically as I can. "We've always tried to be a bit ambigious, so our fans can make up their own mind, but on this one, you know, we are talking about Mother Earth and places like 10 Downing Street [the headquarters of the government of the United Kingdom]," he continued. "But we've always found a balance in not making the message too intense, while showing that we're connected as a bunch of metalheads in the real world." Halford also credited "the incredible work" of Sneap for making "Firepower" sound "as wonderful as it does." "We are aware of the elements that are important to PRIEST, that have been our anvil in everything we've done, but in working with Andy, who is such a sought-after, contemporary metal producer, he's been able to dial everything in and get an effect where what you hear coming out of the speaker sounds like a young, fresh metal band," he said. "I've always tried to keep up with what's going on in metal, and I really feel confident that this sound is as strong as it ever was." Halford stated about the album's first single, "Lightning Strike": "To me, the overall concept of this song is to use the element of a lightning strike to pull away and tear apart at an individual, at a body of people, maybe an organization, maybe an administration, that is kind of leading you, or leading us, into potentially a destructive place. You're kind of spinning that effect round, and you have the right to react and to do something about it. So that, in essence, is what this song is all about." The North American leg of the "Firepower" tour will kick off on March 13 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania and will wrap on May 1 in San Antonio, Texas. Support on the trek will come from SAXON and BLACK STAR RIDERS.

Few rock guitarists have proven to be as influential and enduring as the great Michael Schenker. And March will be a busy month for Schenker, as he will be issuing his latest album, Resurrection, on the 2nd, as well as launching a North American tour in support of it - kicking off on the 6th at the Fillmore in Silver Springs, MD, and wrapping up on April 3rd at the Ritz in Tampa, FL.
And what makes this tour truly unique is that it is being billed as Michael Schenker Fest, and will be featuring three classic Michael Schenker Group vocalists (Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet, and Robin McAuley), plus the singer of Michael Schenker’s Temple Of Rock (Doogie White). And in addition to Schenker supplying guitar, he will be joined by second guitarist/keyboardist Steve Mann, bassist Chris Glen, and drummer Ted McKenna. Meet and greet packages are also available for purchase via here.
First bursting on the scene in the early ‘70s with the Scorpions, the German guitarist and his seemingly always present Flying V were also a crucial reason in UFO becoming one of the world’s top rock bands that same decade (on the strength of such classic recordings as 1977’s Lights Out, 1978’s Obsession, and 1979’s Strangers In The Night), as well as supplying guitar on a Scorpions album that made important inroads into the American market (1979’s Lovedrive). But since 1980, Schenker has been best known for his work with MSG - including such further classic recordings as 1980’s self-titled debut (featuring Barden), 1982’s Assault Attack (featuring Bonnet), and 1987’s Perfect Timing (featuring McAuley). And soon, lucky North American fans will get the chance to experience all eras of MSG, on a nearby concert stage.

German hard rockers BONFIRE will release their new album, "Temple Of Lies", on April 13 via AFM Records. Few German rock acts can look back at as long and successful a career as BONFIRE. Counting the predecessor — a group called CACUMEN, which was also founded by Hans Ziller and featured more or less the same lineup — the band has been around since 1972, has operated under its current moniker since 1986 and released more than two dozen albums. During the most successful phase of the career, BONFIRE was counted alongside the SCORPIONS and ACCEPT as among Germany's three internationally most acclaimed acts, celebrating major success all over Europe and worldwide. BONFIRE's trademarks are and have always been deeply melodic hard rock songs, driven by captivating guitars, grooving rhythms and haunting vocal melodies. All the features that came together so perfectly on their most popular releases "Fireworks" (1987), "Point Blank" (1989) and "Branded" (2011) are present on their current release "Temple Of Lies". Thanks to new vocalist Alexx Stahl, who joined the fold two years ago, and a first-rate lineup on all instruments, the band's creativity explodes on "Temple Of Lies" and is bound to wow a younger generation of rock music fans, too. "We were extremely lucky to find Alexx," offers Ziller in explanation of the group's current creative and musical high. "He's a team player who looks after his voice in a totally professional way and treats it like the important tool that it is. He doesn't smoke and prepares optimally for every show. In addition, Alexx is a really nice guy. Being at the helm of the band, I couldn't be happier to have him in the band.” Ziller is just as enthusiastic about his rhythm section consisting of bassist Ronnie Parkes and drummer Tim Breideband ("they seem to have reinvented the groove"), and, of course, guitarist Frank Pané ("one of the most awesome musicians I've ever worked with"). Ziller: "With this lineup, we'll be able to increase the hardness level of our material whenever we feel like it. Numbers such as 'Temple Of Lies' and 'Stand Or Fall' wouldn't have been possible with previous lineups.” It's not only the occasionally tougher pace that impresses on "Temple Of Lies" (produced by Hans Ziller at the Flatliners Recording Studios in Ingolstadt) from the first to the very last note, but also the album's diverse high-quality songwriting in general. The programmatic album title and expressive cover artwork prove that Ziller & Co. also live up to the responsibility as socially aware musicians, taking to task "the lies of our world and politicians." "Temple Of Lies" track listing: 01. In The Beginning 02. Temple Of Lies 03. On The Wings Of An Angel 04. Feed The Fire (Like The Bonfire) 05. Stand Or Fall 06. Comin' Home 07. I'll Never Be Loved By You 08. Fly Away 09. I Help You Hate Me 10. Crazy Over You 11. Comin' Home (extended acoustic version) (digipak bonus track) 12. Friedensreich - Let The Madness Continue (director's cut) (digipak bonus track) Courtesy of www.blabbermouth.net
