Through their hair band ballads and extremely melodic rock tunes, Shyboy was constantly booked at notable New Jersey clubs like Studio One, Murphy’s Law, and the Playpen. As their popularity grew, they were asked to open for national acts like Warrant, Trixter, Roxx Gang, American Angel, and the Red and Black featuring members of Blue Oyster Cult. The band is made up of Marc Gulli (guitars), Ray Santini (bass), Chris Oremus (Vocals), and Bobby Lambert (drums). The band released their first recording in September of 1988; it was called Stop-n-Go which featured the title track “Stop -n-Go”, and the power ballad “Don’t walk away”. In 2018, Shyboy signed with FnA Records. FnA Records had the Stop-n-Go indie album remastered from the original tapes. Additionally, guitarist Marc Gulli supplied the label with 4 never before released tracks which appear on this renamed album version entitled JUST WANNA ROCK. Lastly, Marc supplied a live show which includes tracks that had never been recorded in any manner. Due to the length of this album, the cover of Triumph’s Magic Power had to be left off. Shyboy continued to play out relentlessly through June of 1990 when they decided to call it a day. The band had the time of their lives creating sing-a-long melodic tunes that the fans could sing to. The obligatory ballad or two also grace the JUST WANNA ROCK album. The band is excited for the fans to hear the new tunes and the remastered versions of the songs. This CD is silver pressed. It is available on CD for $14.97, and digital download for $9.97. Autographed Fan Packs will be available as well. Pamela Moore has released her new album, Behind The Veil. Best known as Queensÿche’s Sister Mary, Pamela Moore is a proven musical powerhouse and veteran entertainer.
A native of Seattle, Washington, Pamela moved to New York City in the late nineties to become the singer for Radar, recording the band’s 2000 release, R.P.M. When Radar dissolved in 2001, Pamela returned to the Pacific Northwest. Pamela continued following her passion, making guest appearances on various albums in the next decade, most notably as the voice of “Sister Mary” on Queensÿche’s heralded concept album, Operation Mindcrime. Pamela toured with Queensrÿche in 2003 to 2008 as a featured vocalist and stage actress. The tour reignited Pamela’s desire to record her own album, and she began writing songs with former Rorschach Test guitarist, Benjamin Anderson. The two found instant chemistry as Pamela’s lyrics and melodies brought Anderson’s musical ideas to life. Stories from a Blue Room, released in 2006 under Planet Sweet Records, was the compelling result. The eleven-track album features guest vocals from Terri Nunn (Berlin), guitarist Michael Wilton (Queensrÿche) and Jeff Loomis (Nevermore). After touring extensively with Queensrÿche, Pamela took her time finding the perfect collaborators for her next album Resurrect Me. Chicago-based guitarist, Michael Posch (Radakka, Century Media) provides potent, addictive metal grooves and soundscapes. Combined with Pamela's stylistic, emotive power vocals and inquisitive lyrics, they create pure metal magic. Resurrect Me was released in 2013 with award winning accolades and very happy fans from across the globe. Fast forward to today; Pamela's journey continues as she turns the page on another chapter of her long standing, award winning career. Behind The Veil is unleashed to the public and a team of masterful musicians helped bring this masterpiece to life; Rudy Sarzo- Bass, Casey Grillo - Drums, Michael Posch - Guitar and orchestration and newcomer, Craig Church - Guitar and orchestration, not to mention her special guests, Ralf Scheepers, Randy Piper and Elliot Anders. "I am VERY grateful and deeply honored to have such amazingly talented friends who agreed to join me on this album." Miss Pamela goes on to mention, "Behind The Veil is by far my most personal work yet. The sudden loss of my mother really hit home and left me asking some very difficult questions. It was a reality check of sorts and that's what I would say Behind The Veil has become... a reality check. Life is short. Don't waste it. “Run for your life” and always be grateful that you still can run!" Order the album via the following links: -CD - Autographed CD, Autographed photo, Cover artwork T-shirt - Digital

Gioeli-Castronovo have announced their debut album Set The World On Fire, and released the first single and video, "Through". Watch the video below. The album will be released on July 13th. Pre-order CD/LP/MP3 here.
Johnny Gioeli and Deen Castronovo first played together on the debut Hardline album Double Eclipse, which was released in 1992. 25 years later, the two were reunited in Italy to commence work on the debut Gioeli-Castronovo album Set The World On Fire. "It was so great to work with Johnny again, I've always loved his voice and it was a pleasure to be a part of this collaboration! It was like we'd never left each other," says Castronovo. "It was like the first day he tried to hold my hand and kiss me in 1992. Ha Ha!!! KIDDING! Seriously, I never left Deen. Deen never left me, so reuniting was easy. Counting our blessings were plentiful. Singing together was magical," says Gioeli about working with Castronovo again. Both men have continued on their musical paths since they last saw one another, with Gioeli continuing to lead Hardline, while Castronovo spent time with Ozzy Osbourne and had an extended tour of duty with the legendary Journey. Castronovo is currently active with The Dead Daisies and Revolution Saints in addition to Gioeli-Castronovo. Gioeli's vocal talents combined with Deen's superb drumming abilities (and whom is also a fine vocalist in his own right) has made for a stunning album that is driving a driving hard rock record, while also chock full of uplifting melodies and poignant lyrical messages.

Tesla's Frank Hannon will release the second instalment of his solo cover series, From One Place… To Another Vol. 2 on Friday, May 18th. As with Vol. 1, the album features a number of special guests, this time including Roger Fisher of Heart, Graham Whitford (son of Aerosmith's Brad Whitford), Duane Betts (son of Allman Brother's Dickey), Randy Hansen and Jared James Nichols.
The album is now available for pre-order at PledgeMusic in all formats plus gain access to exclusive merchandise including two instant song downloads of "Sing Child Song" (featuring Roger Risher) and "Lord Of The Thighs" (featuring Graham Whitford). Pre-order here. "This volume is definitely a step up for me as an artist,” declares Hannon. “I chose to sing some of my favorite songs from very different genres ranging from Aerosmith, Chaka Khan, Black Sabbath to Seal. I am proud of Volume 1 but Volume 2 came out a lot edgier and with some heavier tones.” While Volume 1 was more roots and acoustic focused, From One Place… To Another Vol. 2 is all electric with full backing band, recorded in various locations with a portable recorder and eventually assembled back in Hannon's home studio. “As it turns out, singing is becoming a lot of fun for me,” Hannon admits. “I’ve left the smoking guitar duties to some very special guests including the Jimi Hendrix tribute master Randy Hansen, Heart founder Roger Fisher, Jared James Nichols, as well as other guest artists who contributed flavors.” Randy Hansen and Roger Fisher have always been heroes of Frank’s. “Known for his ‘Magic Man’ guitar sounds, Roger and I recorded a Heart classic ‘Sing Child'; which is almost as funky a song as the man himself." A chance meeting south of the border led to the recording of a classic Aerosmith cut. "I ran into guitarist Graham Whitford in Mexico while on tour and asked him if he'd be interested in recording guitars on his Dad's song and he graciously obliged. Six months later we put it together via the internet and 'Lord of the Thighs' became a highlight for me." The biggest surprise of the album is Frank's take on Seal's "Kiss From A Rose". "It's a vocal melody that has haunted me for years," he says. "When I decided to record it, I spent weeks researching Seal and learned how he wrote the song with no instruments, using only his voice as the music background. This really opened my eyes and ears to the power of a vocal melody that drives a song and I recorded it similarly on my portable 8-track in a dressing room on tour." From One Place… To Another Vol. 2 tracklisting: "Hush" (featuring Randy Hansen) "Lord Of The Thighs" (featuring Graham Whitford) "You Can’t Always Get What You Want" (featuring Duane Betts) "Tell Me Somethin’ Good" "Kiss From A Rose" "Sing Child Sing" (featuring Roger Fisher) "I Can See Clearly Now" "Spanish Castle Magic" (featuring Randy Hansen) "I Can Help" "Sweet Leaf" (featuring Jared James Nichols) Frank has a run of solo dates this week starting tomorrow on Long Island before he heads out on the road with Tesla in the middle of the month. Frank Hannon solo dates: May 2 - Amityville, NY - Revolution Bar & Music Hall 3 - Columbia, MD - Union Jack's 4 - Columbia, MD - M3 Festival 5 - Poughkeepsie, NY - The Loft at The Chance Theatre 19 - Folsom, CA - Out of Bounds Bar Courtesy of www.bravewords.com |
