SKID ROW recently entered the studio to begin recording the final installment of its "United World Rebellion" trilogy of EPs, to be released later in the year. The follow-up to 2014's "Rise Of The Damnation Army - United World Rebellion: Chapter Two" and 2013's "United World Rebellion: Chapter One" will mark the band's first release with the South African-born, British-based vocalist ZP Theart (DRAGONFORCE, TANK, I AM I), who joined SKID ROW in December 2015.


Despite having played sporadic shows with SKID ROW for a year, Theart wasn't officially announced as the band's new frontman until this past January.


Theart said in a statement: "[SKID ROW's] music was the soundtrack to the largest part of my younger years and many a crazy adventure. Now I get the chance to re-live all of them for a hour and a half every night! I am beyond honored to be given this opportunity. Think I'm a bit jealous of my actual self."


Theart's involvement with SKID ROW was exclusively reported by BLABBERMOUTH.NET on December 31, 2015. He stepped into the group following the departure of Tony Harnell, the TNT frontman who joined SKID ROW in April 2015 as the replacement for Johnny Solinger, the band's singer for fifteen years.


SKID ROW guitarist Dave "Snake" Sabo told News-Press.com that Theart has been doing a great job on the road. "He's come in," the guitarist said, "and he's a really great source of positive energy. He knew all of our songs coming in, and he knew them well. He started singing the crap out of all of them, and we were all very impressed."

Jorn’s new studio album, Life On Death Road, will be released on June 2nd. A video for the album’s title track is available for streaming below.


Easily one of the greatest rock singers of the 21st century, Norway's very own giant Viking warrior Jorn Lande's vocals are resoundingly strong once again on his ninth original studio album, Life On Death Road. This absolutely brilliant new album sees Lande attacking the microphone with rejuvenated vigor, accompanied by a new band and a bigger and stronger sound.


Life On Death Road took several months of hard work for the songwriting vision to come together. Jorn needed to take the music to a new level to push the concept of the band further than it has ever gone before. The result is a record that is deep, strong, full of groove and powerful with anthemic songs aplenty. Songs like "Man Of The 80's", "Love Is The Remedy", Life On Death Road, "Insoluble Maze (Dreams In The Blindness)", and "The Slippery Slope (Hangman's Rope)" capture the essence of Jorn as a singer, songwriter and lyricist.


Jorn says, "It's easily one of the best albums I've ever recorded. This was all about putting the right people together for the right result, and about taking the necessary time to work more thoroughly and in depth with the material we chose for the album. The older I get, the more I feel it is necessary to listen to my heart and look for that genuine and honest feeling that made me take interest in music in the first place. Back in the 70's and early 80's when I grew up, people and music were more free and so the presence of feeling and soul came more naturally and was expected from an artist or a band. This is the energy and craftmanship we've been looking for, but still keeping a pulse on the modern times we live in. Life On Death Road is an original album that is pretty much summing up the last 40-50 years of rock and metal and has become a hybrid modern heavy rock album without losing those tasty elements of a good aged wine. Regardless, we're all products of our time, and the feeling, soul and symbioses we've achieved for this album is a rarity in today's music world, so in that sense this album is a true old school sailors' "tall ship adventure". From start to finish it took us nearly three years to finalize and I'm really proud to say that this album is the proof that classic albums can still be made."


The album also marks the debut of a new lineup of very experienced and gifted musicians around the Norwegian singer. On bass is Mat Sinner (Primal Fear, Sinner, Kiske/Somerville) who needs virtually no introduction to European heavy metal fanatics. On keyboards and production is Alessandro Del Vecchio (Hardline, Revolution Saints), who already joined Jorn for the recording of his last covers album, Heavy Rock Radio, and was the glue that helped Jorn to create the feel and the direction for the new album. Francesco Iovino (Primal Fear) is on drums and Alex Beyrodt (Primal Fear, Voodoo Circle) handles guitar. Truly a recipe for a roaring success!


Jorn had no desire to do "just another" Jorn record. The aim was to do the best record possible and it took almost two years of writing, arranging, and producing before wrapping this all up. The performances are thunderous across the board and you can hear the urgency of these songs in Jorn's singing.

Jorn's catalogue is getting too long to include in brief overviews and his innovative and creative skills as a vocalist and music visionary have led to him selling millions of albums worldwide while being a frequent entrant on sales charts around the world including Billboard. Worth a mention here though are his years fronting Masterplan, whom he recorded three albums with. He has also recently collaborated with the world's biggest online gaming company, Riot Games, providing vocals for the virtual band Pentakill in the game League Of Legends. Claimed to be the biggest selling Norwegian musical export since the pop band A-Ha, Jorn continues his rock crusade and there are no signs of him slowing down and Life On Death Road is a magnificent testament to his abilities.

The film has created a buzz in the international markets for delivering the blood guts and story. Michael Juvinall of Horrorsociety.com, now writing for Horrorpatch.com: "Ditch Day is horror done right! It’s exciting, with a great story, great acting, and lots of blood! This is another damn fine performance by Bill Oberst Jr."


Producer Megan Waters commented, "We are excited to release to the US market on Amazon Prime, as we had such a warm international reception. My co-producer (Daniel P. Coughlin) and I aimed to create a film that would entertain and thrill horror fans around the world while honoring the classics we grew up with.”


The film does just that with detailed, complex and delicious kills at the hands of a suit and tie dressed psychopath. A fun fact about this indie film that really shows the team’s dedication to paying homage to the classics, is all gore effects were executed in camera. No CGI was used to chop up the stellar cast in this campy fun joy ride of a horror film. Josh and Sierra Russell, husband and wife special effects team really took the script and supercharged the gore giving life and dimension to the flying appendages and guts that spill forth. So much so that some scenes had to be deleted from the German version of the film to allow its release on Amazon Germany.


Ditch Day delivers the fun on all levels from gore, sex, drugs and quotable campy lines, to its off the wall random characters and cameo appearances by farm animals and under water creatures. The film even has a drinking game that involves shot gunning a beer every time they see a random Gnome. It is impossible to not have fun watching this film.


With the seasoned talents of Bill Oberst Jr. and Lynn Lowry (The Crazies) also comes new scream queen, Katy Foley (The OG Girls) who plays the role of Jenny, an honor student with a haunting past. Some innocent Ditch Day fun soon turns deadly for her and 5 friends played by Zach Silverman (Tell Gordon), Kyle Morris (Avenged), Pandie Suicide (a “Suicide Girl”), Gabriel De Santi (Dawn Patrol) and Samantha Dawn (Cathy).


Not only does the cast deliver an entertaining and blood soaked ride, but so does the sound track, featuring music from indie band Swirl, who also has a strong International fan base. Swirl’s founder and lead guitar player, DT remarked: “We were honored and thrilled to have 3 of our songs included in the film’s sound track. We hope fans around the globe enjoy our music and check out our full album.”

Best known as the lead vocalist of the all female rock band Vixen, Janet Gardner's powerful vocals propelled Vixen to the top of the Billboard charts with crossover hits "Edge of a Broken Heart" and "Cryin'" and Found the band opening for the likes of Deep Purple, Ozzy Osbourne, The Scorpions, Kiss, and Bon Jovi.


Teaming up with guitarist/songwriter/producer Justin James (having worked with Staind, Collective Soul, Tyketto), Gardner has ventured into the solo realm to unleash a new side of her musical creativity. Together, Janet and James have penned a collection of emotionally charged songs with gritty grooves, infectious hooks, and inspired lyrics that merge hard rock influences from the last four decades.


A sample teaser was put up on YouTube and literally exploded overnight. This quickly landed a deal with Pavement Entertainment. Early feedback on the album has stated that "Janet's voice is just as dynamic and powerful as it was back in 1988. Rock fans are going to be blown away by this solo album".

Radiation Romeos will release their self-titled debut album on June 2nd. A video for the album’s opening track, “Radiation Romeos”, is available for streaming below.


Radiation Romeos is a new band formed by the singer Parramore “Perry” McCarty, best known for being the frontman of legendary US metal act Warrior and famed Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens' solo project, Atomic Playboys (in fact, the inspiration for the name Radiation Romeos came from a line in the song “Atomic Playboys").
Musically, the band moves in a melodic hard rock direction with solid, metallic edges thanks to the production of Michael Voss (Phantom 5, Casanova, Michael Schenker), who also contributed to the songwriting. In the studio, Parramore sang all vocals with Dag Heyne handling guitars, Jogi Spittka on bass, and Gereon Homann laying down the drum work with gusto.


Perry says: “Radiation Romeos started when producer Michael Voss contacted me in San Diego through Facebook. A few days later we had the record agreement with Frontiers, so the Radiation Romeos album was soon under way. Our goal was to write great melodic rock songs. The album “spans the globe” from the title track, power rockin’ Radiation Romeos to some songs with a bit more grit like Castaways. All the way to a beautiful ballad, “Like An Arrow”. Something for everyone, if you will… The recording was so much fun and exciting for me. I couldn’t wait to get up the following day to work on the next song! Michael is a wonderfully professional person with endless talent and the musicians super cool guys and top players!”

Parramore McCarty's career in music started when Robbin Crosby of Ratt gave him his start singing in cover bands. His first major label album was Fighting For the Earth on Virgin Records in 1985 for the legendary heavy metal band Warrior. Steve Stevens' Atomic Playboys followed in 1989 on Warner Bros. Records. Then he returned to Warrior and also started gigging in the LA area with Metal Freqs and Monster Traxx.
