Swedish melodic rock combo, Kryptonite, have released a video for “Keep The Dream Alive”, a track from their upcoming self-titled album, due for release on August 4th. Watch the new video below.
Sometimes musicians are put together who only know each other from afar via their respective recordings, but something clicks and triggers a magical moment. That's exactly what happened when Jakob Samuel from The Poodles met up with producer Alessandro Del Vecchio on the heels of a concept created by Frontiers President Serafino Perugino. Together, they set off to work on a new band that could offer lyrical concepts that are deep and intelligent with music that operates within the genres they excel in. And most importantly, has a great energy and impact. Together with executive producer Serafino Perugino, they handpicked each musician to be part of their vision for a strong lineup of young and hungry Swedish musicians that would be ready to go out there and kick some ass. Pontus Egberg, formerly of The Poodles and now the bass player for King Diamond and Treat, was the first one to enter the picture, followed shortly thereafter by Robban Back of Mustasch (and ex-Eclipse). The choice of guitar player fell to the young and immensely gifted Mike Palace. Mike showed his huge talents as a writer and performer on his band Palace’s debut album and on several songs he has already written for the label. The recording and writing sessions flowed freely and the songs came naturally. This band will truly set a standard for what fans perceive as melodic hard rock in today’s climate. It is classic, but modern at the same time, groovy and cool. You will love what Jakob, Michael, Pontus, and Robban have cooked up for you as Kryptonite - Sweden. S

Sweet & Lynch, featuring Stryper vocalist Michael Sweet and Lynch Mob/Dokken guitarist George Lynch, will release their sophomore album, Unified, on November 10th via Frontiers Records. The album artwork and tracklisting can be seen below, and the new song “Promised Land” is available for streaming.
Sweet & Lynch is centred around the talents of guitarist/vocalist Michael Sweet of heavy metal stalwarts Stryper (ex-Boston) and iconic guitarist George Lynch (Lynch Mob, KXM, ex-Dokken) along with bassist James Lomenzo (ex-Megadeth, White Lion, Black Label Society) and drummer Brian Tichy (The Dead Daisies, ex-Whitesnake). In addition to his vocal and guitar work, Michael Sweet handled all of the production duties on Unified. "George and I couldn't be more excited about this album! We've worked very hard to bring you the best of both worlds - a throw back of the chart topping Stryper/Dokken days yet with a modern production that fits right in with anything out there now in the rock world today. We couldn't be more proud than to be working with Brian Tichy and James LoMenzo again as they are the best rhythm section you'll ever hear. If you liked Sweet & Lynch I, you're going to love Unified," says Michael Sweet of the new album. The combination of Sweet's powerful, high-octane vocals, Lynch's immediately recognizable guitar work, and Lomenzo and Tichy's propulsive rhythm section make for an amazing musical combination. The album gives both Sweet and Lynch the opportunity to operate outside of the boundaries of their most well known work and really stretch their wings. Pummeling, traditional heavy metal combines with hook-laden melodic rock and traditional hard rock for a recipe that will satisfy the hungriest of rock fans! Unified is an absolute must hear for fans of all of Michael Sweet and George Lynch's previous work and of course for those who enjoyed the band's excellent debut album. Pre-order Unified at this location.

Due to contractual obligations, vocalist Toby Rand (Rand, Juke Kartel, Rock Star: Supernova) was unfortunately unable to continue with The Fell. The band wish him all the best for the future.
"However, we are thrilled to announce our new frontman, Anthony De La Torre. Anthony (pictured above) is an amazing vocalist who you may also know as Young Jack Sparrow in Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. We are incredibly excited to welcome Anthony into The Fell family and look forward to touring in September. See you there." Standing alongside Anthony De La Torre in The Fell is guitarist Mike Krompass, drummer Randy Cooke, and last, but not least, bassist Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, Winery Dogs), who needs no introduction. This is not typical of any of their past projects, It's a new fresh direction, but uses their influences to create a more modern sound, with heavy guitars, powerful riffs, crushing grooves and huge vocals. For further details, visit The Fell on Facebook. Check out The Fell's debut video, "Footprints", featuring original vocalist Toby Rand:
