Veteran rockers STRYPER have recruited FIREHOUSE bassist Perry Richardson. He joins the band as the replacement for STRYPER's longtime bassist Tim Gaines, who was fired from the group earlier this year.
"The first time I met the guys in STRYPER was in 1985, when my first band, MAXX WARRIOR opened for them in Charlotte, North Carolina," says Richardson. "From that first meeting, they have always been one of my favorite bands and a huge influence on me personally and musically. To have the honor of becoming a member of STRYPER today is an indescribable experience for me. I am so overwhelmed, I can't put it into words. To be asked to be a member of one of my favorite all-time bands is one of the greatest honors of my career. I'm so looking forward to being a part of this next chapter in STRYPER's legacy. I'm ready to rock the world with my new brothers!" Adds STRYPER frontman Michael Sweet: "Perry is a perfect fit within our band. He's an amazing singer, an excellent bass player and just a great human being. The moment we first rehearsed with Perry, we knew that it was right. We sang harmonies, and the vocals sounded awesome. He shared stories of how STRYPER was one of his favorite bands and that he's always respected us. It meant a lot to hear him say that. He has brought a kind and humble spirit to the band. He is a professional and an absolute gentleman. His resume is quite extensive and as impressive as it gets. We're honored to have him on our team and we're extremely excited about the future!" Gaines's exit from STRYPER had been rumored for months, ever since guitarist Oz Fox revealed that Tim was going through a divorce, forcing the group to take a hiatus and possibly consider a future without the bassist. Gaines told KNAC.COM in August that "all hell broke loose" after he split up with his previous wife, "which is taboo as far as Christianity, I guess." He added: "I'm not the only guy in STRYPER to have gotten a divorce. Everybody in the band is married to divorced people. And I'm the bad guy, but everybody else has done it too, so? Whatever. Live in glass houses and everything will be exposed at some point or another." A few days later, the remaining members of STRYPER released a statement denying that Gaines's divorce was a factor in their decision to part ways with the bassist and blaming Tim's "erratic and hostile behavior" for his dismissal from the group. STRYPER is scheduled to enter the studio in November to begin work on in its new album for an early 2018 release. Tim is currently working with FAITHSEDGE singer-songwriter Giancarlo Floridia on that band's fourth album, tentatively due in the fall of 2018. Courtesy of www.blabbermouth.net
"Miles Away", the new video from LYNCH MOB, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's new album, "The Brotherhood", which was released on September 8 via Rat Pak Records. The disc was produced by Chris "The Wizard" Collier (FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, PRONG, KXM) and features eleven brand new hard rock tracks.
"The Brotherhood" highlights the unique pairing of Oni Logan and George Lynch, and, along with Sean McNabb (bass) and Jimmy D'Anda (drums), the band has created a solid offering from start to finish. From the heavy guitar riffs of the opening track, "Main Offender", to the melodic album finale, "Miles Away", LYNCH MOB has once again proven it remains on top of its game. Logan comments: "After doing quite a few miles together with this latest lineup of Sean McNabb and Jimmy D'Anda, we consider ourselves a pack of wolves, and we came up with the name 'The Brotherhood' for the title of the next LYNCH MOB album. It's got more of an adventurous sound in part and maybe a darker, colder sound to it. "We are always willing to go farther. We come from the early '90s and it's when we released the first LYNCH MOB album which set a sound and course for us. Here we are 27 years later [and] George and I are still able to keep on stretching. As a player, as a writer, that is very important to us. Otherwise, we would be fooling ourselves and fooling you." Lynch adds: "We wrote this album as a band and the name of the record reflects what the band is about and what all my bands have been about since I've been a kid. This is my second family. These are my brothers. You go through a lot together and have a lot of experiences together. And that then becomes a part of the music." "The Brotherhood" track listing: 01. Main Offender 02. Mr. Jekyll And Hyde 03. I'll Take Miami 04. Last Call Lady 05. Where We Started 06. The Forgotten Maiden's Pearl 07. Until the Sky Comes Down 08. Black Heart Days 09. Black Mountain 10. Los Angeles-based rock band Beautiful Creatures have officially released the video for "Straight To Hell”, off the recently released Deuce Deluxe. The band has also just signed a worldwide deal for a limited edition vinyl pressing of Deuce Deluxe, and they are currently working on new music, set for 2018 release.
The “Straight To Hell” video was filmed, directed and edited by bass guitarist Kenny Kweens. Kweens was recently asked to comment on the new video:
Q: Tell us about the new Beautiful Creatures music video for the song "Straight To Hell" from the album Deuce Deluxe. K.K.: ”Well, groupies and rockstars go together like devil horns and a pitch fork. Rockstars sell their souls to be on a stage and the groupies sell their souls to be backstage... or on the tour bus... or in the hotel room... or limousine... or airplane... or where ever. You get the point. The song is about being on the road and doing whatever it takes to get as much out of the night as you can before you retire to your "coffin" or bunk" (laughs). "The concept is very simple, just a straight forward campy rock video. I've never really been a fan of narrative videos, I am more into videos that are abstract or have an undertone of what the song is about. We wanted something raw and live, nothing too clean and polished, more like a throwback to the early days of metal videos from like Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, AC DC or KISS. Something that would have been seen on MTV's Headbangers Ball. You really can't go wrong with loud guitars, dancing girls and, well.... the Devil." Q: So the video comes out at the end of October around Halloween? K.K.: "I love October. It's the start of fall, it's Halloween time and it's also my birth month, so for me it's always an action packed month of festivities and events. I've released videos in the past around this time of the year, so I thought why not do it again? When presented with idea, I immediately asked the band if they would be up for a quick video shoot and they were game. When I say quick, I mean quick. No preproduction, it was very spontaneous, but with no stress or worry, we just wanted to have fun with it despite the time crunch." Q: Knowing that you guys had such a small window to deliver the video, how did you approach it? K.K.: "I was basically working alone, when I wasn't on stage or performing on camera, I was behind the lens. When you have a deadline coming fast, it challenges you in every way, you have to think fast and move fast but by proxy, it forces you to venture creatively where you otherwise wouldn't to deliver. In other words, do what ever it takes. In my opinion, adventure and spontaneity brings out the best many cases. We got some cheap old style Halloween masks, go-go dancers and just went for it. As for editing, that is the most fun for me, regardless of how much sleep I denied myself. In the end everyone involved delivered, and most importantly, had a fun time, which is what it is all about." Q: What is the current status of the "Get You High" video? K.K.: "That's a difficult question to answer. The "Get You High" video has had a lot of obstacles. It started off to be a really exciting experience that quickly turned into a an ongoing project that due to logistics and timing made it unfortunately impossible to have it ready when we wanted it. We are all hopeful that it will be completed and released at some point. Once the Halloween release was presented, it was obvious that "Straight To Hell" was the best choice all around to give Deuce Deluxe the right video for the right song, even if it meant me burning the candle at both ends, which is my lifestyle anyway."
Beautiful Creatures is comprised of Joe Leste (vocals), Kenny Kweens (bass), Anthony Focx (guitar) Alex Grossi (lead guitar) and Timmy Russell (drums).
Earlier this year, the band released a remixed, remastered and re-sequenced deluxe edition of their sophomore album Deuce via New Ocean Media. The band was on hand at St. Felix in Hollywood for the world premier of "Straight To Hell" on Thursday, October 26th. Courtesy of www.bravewords.com
There is a new name about to burst on the rock scene, that mixes the styles of Led Zeppelin and Guns N’ Roses - and that name is Jacob Cade.
“Energetic rock n’ roll with a modern twist”, is how this singer/guitarist/band leader from Colorado likes to describe his music. And from late November through early December, rock fans in the northeast will be able to get a glimpse of this talented performer, as he will be opening shows for Bobaflex. “I am so stoked to be going on the road with Bobaflex,” says Cade. “This will be the first experience for me being out and playing every night. I can't imagine how much fun I will have. Sort of a mini-dream come true! I'm jumping in circles right now. Fans should expect the band and I to come out and give it all we've got. It's going to be an energy filled, in your face, kick ass piece of entertainment. I guarantee whoever comes to see us will be mind blown.” Cade is working closely with legendary producer Michael Wagener (whose credits include working with the likes of Metallica, Dokken, King’s X, etc.). Plans include issuing a string of singles, before offering up an EP that will be entitled Hunger, with songwriting collaborations between Cade and such respected rock names as Paul Taylor from Winger, Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger from Halestorm, and Rachel Bolan from Skid Row.
The first song of Cade’s to be released as a single will be “What’s Your Problem?!.”
“The song ‘What's Your Problem?!’ is really an outcome of being fed up with people in the world that always have to find something about me that they have a problem with. Dedicated to all those people like me that feel like they are the outsiders and don't fit in. To which I say it's a special thing to be that way. Be yourself and live the life you wanna live. You'll find your people someday. Rachel and I both were able to bring out that emotion very well through this song.” The video for “What’s Your Problem?!.” can be seen below:
Lastly, there is a simple reason why Cade feels his music stand out from the rest of the pack. “I believe it is different with what is coming out lately, and that's what makes it special and appealing.”
With the arrival of the single and live dates, rock fans will soon get to experience first-hand what is so appealing about this fast-rising star. Babylon A.D. are one of the few hard rock bands from the late '80s/early '90s that are still operating with all of their original members: Derek Davis, vocalist/songwriter, guitarists and songwriters, John Matthews and Ron Freschi, drummer Jamey Pacheco and bassist Robb Reid. The band formed in 1987 and to celebrate their 30th anniversary, will release their new album, Revelation Highway, on November 10th. A music video for the album track “I’m No Good For You” is available for streaming below.
Vocalist Derek Davis on the new album: "This record kicks ass, from the opening track 'Crash And Burn' to the last track 'Saturday Night'. The band had a blast making the album and a lot had to do with original founding member lead-guitarist John Matthews rejoining the band. He really lit the fire that got the bands blood pumping to make a new record. For me it was awesome to produce and mix such a cool record. It's very hard hitting yet melodic, with some great lyrical story telling and great stand out tracks like, 'One Million Miles', 'Tears', 'Rags To Riches, and 'She Likes To Give It'. The songs are so catchy and memorable on the first listen I know our fans are gonna love it! And of course there are some burning guitar leads to keep the metal heads happy. The band is very grateful that Frontiers Music Srl listened to the tracks and felt the same way about them as we do and offered us the opportunity to get this record out. We can't wait to hit the road and play the material live." Featuring 10 tracks of the energetic classic hard rock the band is known for, Revelation Highway is sure to please fans of the band's classic early material. The band will play shows in the UK and Germany this August/September to kick off promotion for the album with more touring planned both in the US and UK/Europe.

Legendary drummers and brothers Vinny and Carmine Appice have teamed up for a new project called Appice. They are set to release their debut album, Sinister, via SPV/Steamhammer tomorrow, Friday, October 27th.
Appice have released a video for "Monsters And Heroes" featuring live footage from their recent Las Vegas show and a cameo from comedian Carrot Top.
Sinister is available for pre-order now at this location. All digital pre-orders include an instant download of the song "Monsters And Heroes”.
You’re unlikely to find a phenomenon like Carmine and Vinny Appice a second time in the history of rock music. For more than forty years, the two brothers have been among the most sought-after and renowned rock drummers worldwide. Carmine and Vinny (each of them on their own) can be heard on numerous legendary albums and have toured countless times with some of the world’s greatest acts. Carmine embarked on his musical path in the 1960s with the unforgotten Vanilla Fudge, manning in the course of his illustrious career the drums for superstars such as Rod Stewart and Ozzy Osbourne, among others. His brother Vinny, who is eleven years his junior, looks back on an equally spectacular career, having worked with acts such as Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell and Dio, among others. With the exception of the live album Drum Wars - Live! (2014), there has been no direct collaboration between the two so far. That’s about to change. Sinister is the first joint studio album by Carmine and Vinny and was recorded with the support of a number of prestigious guests. Vinny: “As Ringo said: with a little help from our friends.” Sinister consists of a total of 13 tracks, recorded by Carmine and Vinny together with distinguished colleagues. “Killing Floor” and “Future Past” feature the wonderful Craig Goldy (together with bassist Tony Franklin), Franklin resurfacing, together with Paul Shortino, on “Suddenly” and on “You Got Me Running”. Shortino also lends his awesome vocals to “War Cry” and the programmatic “Monsters And Heroes”, the latter also featuring Bulletboys guitarist Mick Sweda, while Shortino teams up with Whitesnake stringsman Joel Hoekstra on “War Cry”. Talking of vocals: “Sinister”, “Danger” (bass: Phil Soussan), “In The Night” (guitar: Bumblefoot) and “Sabbath Mash” (guitar: Erik Turner, keyboards: Erik Norlander) are all sung by Jim Crean, while Chas West recorded the vocal parts for “Killing Floor”, Scotty Bruce featuring on “Future Past” and Robin McAuley on “Riot”. The biggest surprise of all: Carmine himself doubles as vocalist on “You Got Me Running”. Vinny: “Carmine has been singing lead and background for years. He's a very good singer and I'm glad he sang one number on this record.” So fans can look forward to a haunting rock album which the Appice brothers plan to premiere live on stage as soon as possible. Carmine: “We cannot wait to take the album on the road! Heavy drums and heavy songs. It will kill!” Sinister will be released on CD digipack, double gatefold vinyl, download and stream.

CLASSIC SONGS – 21ST CENTURY SOUNDS
Ron Keel Band has signed a worldwide recording agreement with David Ellefson's EMP Label Group. The new album project will feature new original music, killer covers of southern rock classics, a brand new medley of the Keel hits “The Right To Rock,” “Tears Of Fire,” “Somebody’s Waiting,” and “Because The Night,” and the recent singles “Dead Man Rockin’” and “Homesick.” “This project is a dream come true for me,” confesses Ron Keel. “The fans and I are in total agreement – we treasure the Keel classics from the 80’s, and I’ve always wanted another shot at those vocals. I was young and green then, and the singer that cut those tracks had a lot of growing to do as a vocalist. Now after three decades of practice, I am delivering those songs with new strength and authority that was missing on the original recordings.” Keel has indeed been getting a lot of practice as the Ron Keel Band pursued a relentless touring schedule this summer – headline shows in front of tens of thousands include the Sturgis Rally, Hot Harley Nights, fairs, festivals, and arenas plus tour dates supporting Tesla. RKB has a tradition of tackling iconic southern rock anthems like “Ghost Riders In The Sky” and “Homesick,” and plans to expand on that formula with this release. “I considered at one point creating an entire album to pay tribute to the giants of that genre,” Keel explains. “One song each from the legends like Outlaws, Blackfoot, Hatchet, Skynyrd, Allman Brothers…we’re going to record a bunch of those and see what we have room for this time, but we have to also include our new originals and the Keel songs to really define our identity as a band.” 2018 promises to escalate the mayhem to a fever pitch, as RKB prepares to tour in support of the new album. Ron is also confirmed to appear at the Atlanta KISS Expo and will reunite with the original Keel band again for their fifth voyage on the Monsters Of Rock Cruise 2018 in February. “My philosophy has always been to live each day, each show, each song as if it were my last, says Ron. “Tomorrow is not guaranteed for any of us…and this new album stands as a monument to our fans, the tough guys in this band, and my legacy as a small thread in the epic tapestry of rock & roll.”

Judas Priest Set To Launch Firepower Album, 2018 North American Tour With Saxon, Black Star Riders10/23/2017 One of heavy metal’s most legendary acts will be hitting the road in 2018 in support of their new studio album, Firepower. All dates will be running a Judas Priest Fan Presale starting Wednesday, October 25th at 10 AM local time with the password: FIREPOWER that fans can use to purchase tickets in advance. Check the local venue for additional information. There are few heavy metal bands that have managed to scale the heights that Judas Priest have during their 40 year career - originally formed during the early '70s in Birmingham, England, Judas Priest is responsible for some of the genre's most influential and landmark albums (1980's British Steel, 1982's Screaming For Vengeance, 1990's Painkiller, etc.) and for decades have been one of the greatest live bands in the entire heavy metal genre including an iconic performance at Live Aid in 1985 - they also brought metal to the masses by their appearance on American Idol in 2011 - plus Judas Priest were one of the first metal bands to exclusively wear leather and studs - a look that began during this era and was eventually embraced by metal fans throughout the world! And in 2017, the band was nominated for induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. And come 2018, North American headbangers will get the opportunity to experience the mighty Priest on a nearby concert stage! Confirmed tour dates:
