On this somber day in American history, the latest pop-classical solo effort from Mark Gus Scott reinforces the mantra, “We Will Not Forget!” His latest video shows Mark performing an emotional version of Franz Schubert's "Ave Maria" amongst numerous iconic New York City and Washington DC landmarks in a story-telling fashion that Mark, (a New York resident at the time of the 9/11 attacks), relays to his son, Brandon Michael Scott.
The video also marks Brandon’s directorial debut as a filmmaker. “Ave Maria” is the first single from Mark’s forthcoming holiday album entitled Christmas Miracle, to be released on Thanksgiving 2017. Check out the video below:
All proceeds from "Ave Maria" will be donated to the Hope 4 Kids International (H4KI) charity for which Mark, an international spokesperson, is a contributor and partner of H4KI.
As the wild and charismatic member of the internationally renowned rock band Trixter, Mark Gus Scott has sold well over 3 million albums worldwide: three #1 videos on MTV (15 weeks at #1), four "Top 20" AOR radio hits as well as a "Top 40" album on the Billboard Charts (#26). Mark has performed in front of millions of people around the world and now employs his classical training yet again to bring about a Christmas Miracle. A long-standing member of the philanthropic community, Mark Gus Scott continues his charitable crusade by joining forces with arguably the greatest charity to make an impact around the world, Hope 4 Kids International. Hope 4 Kids International is a 4-star rated non-profit (Charity Navigator) organization committed to helping children around the world that are suffering from extreme poverty through Dignity, Health, Joy & Love. Mark Gus Scott’s support and partnership with H4KI is helping make dreams come true for some very special children all around the world. Through H4KI’s mission to help in the empowerment of children who suffer from extreme poverty, Mark has been inspired to sponsor nine-year-old Alowo Cathy. She could hardly contain her joy when learning that Mark had become her sponsor. Living in Uganda, life is extremely difficult for a child barely surviving in the margins of society. This gift of life has given her courage to dream. Singing in the church choir, hope resonates more gloriously than ever throughout her small village. A gift of love worth singing about! Being appreciative of the life Mark has been afforded he shares the following: "As an individual who has been extremely fortunate to achieve a life-long dream, I truly recognize the value, importance and impact it can have on the life of a child. It is my passion, through the sales of “Ave Maria”, that deep hope will come to kids believing their dreams will never come true and that their lives are over. Together through Dignity, Health, Joy and Love, we can all give them life-changing support! “I thank Hope 4 Kids International for their tireless work and efforts in making this world a better place. It is a privilege to join H4KI in their quest to enrich the well-being of children all around the world. This Christmas, I urge you to join me in a call to action to make a difference." Steel Panther return with the third music video from their latest release, Lower The Bar. The video for “Wasted Too Much Time” is available for streaming below.
Steel Panther drummer Stix Zadinia directed the latest clip, which visualizes the message of the song and the pitfalls of staying in a relationship that isn’t working. Stone Sour make a cameo appearance in the NSFW video performing at a house party and singer Corey Taylor does his best Michael Starr impersonation. Steel Panther will also be making an appearance in the next Stone Sour video as well. “Having sex with living, human women and directing music videos are my two favorite things to do,” explains director Stix Zadinia.
Keeping the Stone Sour “bromance” alive, the two bands will be hitting the road together on a co-headline tour kicking off on September 24th in Omaha, NE at the Sokol Auditorium. The tour will make stops in Kansas City, MO; Niagara Falls, NY; and Tulsa, OK before wrapping up in San Antonio, TX on October 14th.
Tickets for all shows are currently on-sale as well as VIP packages at select dates. All ticket info can be found at this location. Courtesy of www.bravewords.com
The art of six-stringer shredding has unquestionably come back to forefront in modern day hard rock and heavy metal music. And talented guitarist Lou DiBello will soon be leaving his own mark on the genre, with the release of his album, Heat Wave. The album features input from current or former members of Manowar (guitarist Ross “The Boss” Friedman) and Symphony X (bassist Mike Lepond), and is chockfull of headbanging rockers and six-string showcases, especially the tune “Full Throttle”, which is available for streaming below.
"Heat Wave is my 4th solo release and by far my best effort to date,” explains DiBello. “The fact that I worked with such a great group of people was key, most notably singer Carsten Schulz, bassist Mike LePond, and legendary guitarist Ross ‘The Boss’ Friedman. It was a real honor to have Ross play dueling leads and harmonies with me on the epic track ‘Blood On The Cross,’ and he gave me valuable advice along the way as well. The record is a nice blend of hard rock/metal with vocals as well as instrumental tracks with a real emphasis on good songs with great guitar playing, as opposed to just great guitar playing. All out rocker ‘Let Me Hear You Scream - Rock & Roll!,’ as well as instrumental tracks ‘Full Throttle’ and my take on the Michael Schenker classic ‘Into The Arena’ are a few of the highlights.” DiBello - who is an honors graduate from Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, California - has been a veteran of the Central Illinois music scene since the late ‘80s. Additionally, he has played over 2,500 paid performances, 600 in last 5 years alone, plus countless opening slots for acts like .38 Special, Slaughter, LA Guns, Molly Hatchet, Foghat, Quiet Riot, Survivor, Black Crowes, Blue Oyster Cult, and more. As an instructor, DiBello has given over 25,000 private lessons, and started one of the first streaming guitar lesson websites." The guitarist also feels he has a lot to offer in the areas of instruction and collaboration with other artists, as he is a flexible player in a range of styles and enjoys playing in many different settings. Also, he is looking to place his music for licensing for TV and film. “I love playing guitar! I am blessed to continue to pursue my passion and I am looking forward to further successes in this ongoing journey.” Heat Wave tracklisting: “Heat Wave” “Let Me Hear You Scream - Rock & Roll!” “Blood On The Cross” “The Meeting” “Full Throttle” “Drop Deadly” “When All Is Lost” “Into The Arena” “Full Throttle”:

Kee Of Hearts, the new project built around two true melodic rock superstars - Fair Warning singer Tommy Heart and former Europe guitarist Kee Marcello, have released a video for the song “Crimson Dawn”, featured on their upcoming self-titled debut album, due for release on September 15th. Watch the new video below.
With a line-up rounded out by Ken Sandin (ex-Alien) on bass and Italian drummer Marco Di Salvia (Pino Scotto), the guys started working on their debut album in late 2016. With their songwriting strongly focused on melodic rock songs, the album came to completion under the direction of producer Alessandro Del Vecchio and covers a wide spectrum of styles with a lot of attention given to crafting great hooks delivered by musicians that know how to deliver the goods. Musically, the band operates in a territory defined by Scandinavian AOR meeting German melodic hard rock with influences from the classic US AOR giants (think Giant, Journey, etc.).

Vandenberg's Moonkings, featuring former Vandenberg and Whitesnake guitarist Adrian Vandenberg, will release their new album, MKII, on November 3rd via Mascot Label Group. A trailer video for the upcoming release can be found below.
Four years after Adrian Vandenberg made a spectacular comeback with Vandenberg’s Moonkings the band returns with a sophomore album, simply titled MK II. The album has all the qualities of the debut: once again the four-piece band manages to create a perfect mix of vintage seventies hard rock and current styles of heavy rock. Adrian Vandenberg shines as a bonafide guitar virtuoso, while the rest of the band also delivers in spades. Yet MK II has even more to offer than the highly praised first album. It shows how the band grew into a strong unit during the world tours of the recent years. “The last few years have been very important indeed,” confirms Adrian Vandenberg, who previously gained world fame as the guitarist and songwriter of Vandenberg and Whitesnake. “We just got to know each other when we recorded out debut album. I think we all exceeded each other’s expectations. But you really get to know each other while on the road. It was then that I really became impressed by the abundance of energy that this band has. We tried to capture this on our new album. At the same time, we all grew individually. I am really amazed by the way Jan Hoving has grown even more in his role as a singer and as a front man. I’ve played with the best bass players and drummers in my extensive career, but with all respect I dare to say that Sem Christoffel and drummer Mart Nijen Es form the best rhythm section I ever had the pleasure of working with.” Order the new album at this location.

Pink Cream 69 will release their new album, Headstrong, on November 10th. The first track from the upcoming release, “We Bow To None”, is available for streaming below.
Headstrong marks the 30th Anniversary of the German hard rockers Pink Cream 69. And what better way to celebrate than by adding yet another gem to their already spectacular discography! Produced by bassist (and renowned producer) Dennis Ward, Headstrong sees the same line-up from 2013’s well received Ceremonial album return to deliver fans another hard rocking set of quality songs and is their 12th studio album overall. As a special treat, the new release includes a bonus live album featuring songs from across the band’s catalogue. Dennis Ward says: When we released our first album in 1989, we were proud to be a “guitar band” that yielded powerful guitar riffs and soaring vocal melodies. Since the release of Ceremonial it became evident to us that we had to take a step back to be able to make 2 steps forward so we made a “master plan”: to resurrect our earliest form of songwriting incorporating these riffs and melodies, reducing the amount of keyboards and keeping the production to a minimum of sonic layers in order to be as true as possible to our sound - the sound of fat and crunchy guitars. I feel that the new Headstrong album is a high-energy recording that redeems us as the powerful rock n’ roll band we used to be. After weeks of cross checking the production, listening to the CD in my car, I take great pride in saying “mission accomplished”. We look so very forward to presenting our new “baby”.” Pink Cream 69 was founded in 1987 by singer Andi Deris, guitarist Alfred Koffler, drummer Kosta Zafiriou, who were later joined by bassist Dennis Ward. Deris left the band in 1994 and after auditioning various singers was replaced by Englishman David Readman.
